How a Laser Rangefinder Works
Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within ±1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

CONFIDENCE HAS A NEW LOOK AND FEEL it's like perfect feel in putting, just 1,000 yeards long. The new Tour V2 with Pinseeker laser rangefinders rests in your hand with an ergonomic precision that boilds confidence and pride. Its guts are 100% Bushnell laser rangefinder, but the package outside will rival your favorite driver with a custom high-tak grip. The new V2 sets a new standard in the complete laser rangefinder package -looks, feel and performance. A package that may see players starting to waggle their V2 before the range with their targets.

Bushnell BowHunter Chuck Adams Edition 4x 20mm ARC Bow Mode Laser Rangefinder

Bushnell BowHunter Chuck Adams Edition 4x 20mm ARC Bow Mode Laser Rangefinder Review

Bushnell BowHunter Chuck Adams Edition 4x 20mm ARC Bow Mode Laser Rangefinder Feature

• Archery-specific laser rangefinder with Angle Range Compensation (ARC) technology
• Calculates "shoot-like" distance based on angle of shot for increased accuracy
• Bow Mode displays line-of-sight, angle, and true horizontal distances from 5 to 99 yards
• Determines overall line-of-sight distances from 5 to 850 yards; 4x magnification
• Includes carrying case; measures 1.4 x 2.9 x 3.8 inches (W x H x D); weighs 5.3 ounces

Designed in conjunction with the bowhunting legend himself, the Bushnell Chuck Adams Edition 4x20mm archery-specific laser rangefinder excels regardless of the terrain. The rangefinder is outfitted with Bushnell's Angle Range Compensation (ARC) technology, which provides accurate readings from tree stands and steep hills. Simply hit the Fire button and it will calculate the "shoots-like" distance based on the angle of your shot.

The rangefinder's Angle Range Compensation (ARC) adjusts the distance based on your standing position.

No more having to adjust your true horizontal distance by eye when you're standing at an extreme uphill or downhill angle. The Chuck Adams Edition rangefinder also accommodates bowhunters with its Bow Mode, which simultaneously displays line-of-sight, angle, and true horizontal distances from 5 to 99 yards. And rifle hunters aren't left out, as the rangefinder also provides line-of-sight distances from 5 to 850 yards.

Other features include a built-in digital inclinometer that measures angles from -90 to 90 degrees with +/- 1-degree accuracy; a pocket-sized build; 4x magnification; a rainproof housing; a built-in battery indicator; and a posi-thread battery door. The rangefinder comes with a carrying case, battery, and neck strap.

How Bushnell's Laser Rangefinders Work
Bushnell's laser rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 laser beam (as classified by the FDA), which is "bounced" off distant objects at the press of a button. In the process, the rangefinder uses a high-speed digital clock to measure the time it took for the laser beam to reach the target and return, and then calculates the distance within plus-or-minus 1 yard. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button and the time the exact range appears. The information appears on the unit's through-the-lens LCD display.

Because rangefinders bounce laser beams off targets in order to take measurements, their range is partially determined by the target's reflectivity. So distances to reflective or "hard" targets like rock cliffs and semis can be measured from farther away than those to soft-surface targets such as deer. Ranges for moderately reflective targets, like trees, fall somewhere in the middle. Most experienced hunters will use their rangefinder to estimate ranges to near and distant landmarks before they actually encounter a game animal. By pre-measuring ranges to spots where trophies are likely to appear, they can concentrate on making an accurate shot when the moment of truth arrives.
